Does ReSure cut out our broker?
No – quite the opposite. ReSure supports the broking function by eliminating the time-consuming, unproductive and error-prone manual collection and compiling of paper or spreadsheet-based renewals information. Your broker can devote their valuable time to determining what information the market needs, and the best way to present it. ReSure allows your broker to focus on what they are good at – negotiating the best possible terms on your behalf.

Can my broker operate the system on my behalf?
Yes – your broker or insurance company can own the licence to use ReSure. Alternatively, you can own the licence and give your broker or insurer full administrative rights to work with the system.

Who owns the information in ReSure?
Normally, the party that licenses ReSure is the legal owner of the information. That party ultimately controls who has access to the information. However, where a broker or insurer provides the system to its clients, we can make the client the legal owner of the information if necessary

Can I run ReSure on my own network?
Yes. We offer ReSure Online as a hosted web service, but we can also license ReSure Corporate Edition Edition for use on your own network. It is an Active Server Page application that is fully integrated with Microsoft standards. It uses the .NET framework and MS SQLServer as its database.

How is the web service priced?
The service fee is based on your estimate of the total risk exposure to be managed through the system. It may be paid annually in advance, or in periodic instalments. We will provide a simple questionnaire and calculate the fee alternatives for you.

Do I pay more for a large number of users?
ReSure does not have a “per user” licence cost. You can authorise as many people as you wish to access the system. The details of each user are recorded in the security manager, and their activity on the system is monitored.

What support does ReSure provide?
We provide support for ReSure clients via email or a toll free number, as appropriate. All support requests are logged, prioritised and managed until resolved.

What if I need help in setting up the system?
ReSure has a consultancy and setup service available. Experienced consultants can design or improve your renewals processes, and can take any data that you have in electronic format – such as spreadsheets – and load it into the system. On-site training can also be provided. These services are offered for an additional fee that can be spread over the first year if required.

Can special reporting needs be addressed?
ReSure includes a wide range of reports, from high level summaries to the most detailed information available, including access to attached surveys, valuations, loss control reports, and so on. Most reports can be produced as Excel spreadsheets so you can carry out additional formatting, graphing and presentation. If there is special report format that you need, we can develop this for you.

What if I already have a lot of data in spreadsheets or other databases?
ReSure has capabilities that allow you to import your data in spreadsheet format. You first export a ReSure spreadsheet template of the appropriate Risk Class (eg motor vehicles), copy and paste your data into the template, then import it into ReSure. Data that is imported is checked for accuracy and integrity by the same business rules that we use for manual data entry.

How can I be sure that my information is safe?
ReSure uses secure technologies including SSL to protect access to your data. The ReSure licence holder manages every other user’s access to the system through a logon and password. ReSure Online is hosted by Webcentral, a professional Web services company that has full physical and network security and backup facilities in place. If you have any concerns about your data, you can download a full copy of your database at any time in a variety of formats.
